Leona Matuszczak is passionate about our outdoor environment and so designs and constructs unique Sculptural Seats for use in Public and Private spaces of Parks and Gardens. The Seats are directly modelled using high quality cement surrounding an inner core, which makes them very adaptable. They can be heavy enough for installation in public areas or light enough to be moved around in private spaces.

When designing her sculptural seats, Leona either works site-specifically or has a specific type of space in mind. She draws inspiration from the surrounding locale and is enthused by forms and colours found in the natural world. The pieces are bold, curvaceous and sometimes even look as if they have a grown out of the ground!

Throughout her work, Leona celebrates the importance and value of our natural surroundings. In an age where we spend most of our time within the confines of our offices, she is keen to encourage people to get out enjoy their outdoor environment as much as possible. Her individual sculptural seats often form part of either a pair or a group, which further promote the interaction of people relaxing together and enjoying an outdoor space.
